Hmong Hilltribe Lodge Hotel Chiang Mai
Plan A Price per person B/2,250.- [minimum 2 pax]
This tour option is suitable for anyone looking to get out of the city for a unique dining experience in the mountains, but who might not have a lot of time to spare.
You will be picked up at your hotel at 5 p.m. where you can then sit back and take in the views of the mountain ranges of the Nong Hoi area, arriving at the Hmong Lodge by 6 p.m.
Plan B Price per person B/3,270.- [minimum 2 pax]
This option is good for those who don’t have a lot of time to spare but still want to see authentic hilltribe life and take in some spectacular ‘off-the-beaten-path’ sights.
You will be picked up at your hotel at 3 p.m. and taken on a 4-wheel drive through the winding back roads of Nong Hoi to elevations reaching a staggering 1,200 metres above sea level. Stops along the way will give you the chance to capture breathtaking views of mountains with clouds at your feet.
You will then have the chance to take a stroll through a local Hmong village totally untouched by tourism; so untouched that there isn’t even a shop here to buy souvenirs.
You will arrive at the Hmong Hilltribe Lodge by 6 p.m.
Plan A & B
With a delicious dinner buffet starting at 7 p.m., there is time to indulge in a massage alongside rice paddies, take a tour through the resort grounds or a walk to one of the nearby hilltribe villages.
The hearty buffet dinner includes a variety of choices with something to please everyone. As gorgeous weather often encourages, enjoy a bottle of wine by candlelight under the stars. Coupled with the hum of crickets in the background, this is a truly amazing and authentic experience.
After dinner you can finish your wine or sip a cup of coffee while taking in a Hmong Culture Show. This authentic display of songs, dances and skits gives a small glimpse into the lives and traditions of the Hmong Hilltribe people.
For the last hour you are invited inside to the cosy bar for a night cap and to watch and sing along with a local villager who has been coming here almost every night for the past 20 years.
You can expect to arrive back to your hotel between 10 – 10:30 p.m.
You can also make arrangements to spend a night at the lodge. If you get to the lodge and decide you would like to stay the night, pending availability, you may be able to stay and a car can be arranged for you the following morning, after you’ve enjoyed a peaceful breakfast buffet and a dip in the gorgeous infinity pool overlooking rice fields below.
